Gran Canaria Airport Terminal Services
Gran Canaria Airport may be small by comparison with the likes of Frankfurt, Madrid or London, but it still manages to handle around 12 million passengers a year. Gran Canaria Airport offers passengers many amenities, while they are at the terminal, including banking and currency exchange and a family-friendly zone where small passengers can while away the waiting time in safety and with maximum fun.
The terminal at Gran Canaria Airport also provides VIP services, for which passengers can buy passes online in advance. The VIP pass permits passengers to stay for up to four hours in the terminal's VIP Lounges before their scheduled flight leaves. An adult pass costs 26.20 euros, a child pass costs 12.60 euros for children aged 6 to 10. If flights are delayed, the time in the VIP Lounges is extended by the time of delay.
Families are provided with a Children's Zone and breast-feeding lounge which are modern, comfortable and well-equipped. For example, there are recliners and tables, an area where parents can prepare baby food and there are also family toilets with baby changing facilities.
Children's play areas and family lounges are on Floor 1 near Boarding Gates A and C. At Children's World on Floor 1 little visitors can enjoy the manifold delights of Tutti Frutti, a shop that sells sweets, nuts and snacks catering especially for young tastes. Tutti Frutti is open from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm every day.
Also located on Floor 1 in the Passenger-only zone is the Tutti Toy Store, where young visitors to Gran Canaria Airport will be able to find all the latest branded characters and toys they have seen in movies and on TV. The toy shop is open from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm every day.
Gran Canaria Airport also boasts several snack bars, restaurants and cafeterias, among them O'Learys, a restaurant grill with a wide selection of starters and grilled meats, salads and sandwiches. Upper Crust also sells food for the smaller appetite, such as filled rolls and baguettes as well as hot drinks.
